Join Us at the UNU Hub at CCNY on Remote Sensing and Sustainable Innovations for Resilient Urban Systems (R-SIRUS)

The UNU Hub at CCNY welcomes participation from professors, researchers, and students to work together on projects and initiatives tackling global challenges in climate change, sustainability, and resilience using remote sensing, GIS, and engineering innovations. Here are ways you can get involved with the UNU Hub.

For Professors

  • Engage in UNU Hub Initiatives: Participate in quarterly meetings and contribute to outreach and capacity-building activities.
  • Offer Training and Courses: Lead workshops and courses on remote sensing, GIS, and climate solutions for students, professionals, and UN staff.

For Scientists/Researchers/Post-docs

  • Apply for Project Funding: Seek funding for research on remote sensing, climate adaptation, urban sustainability, policy, or energy.
  • Publish Research: Submit articles on Hub-related topics, showcasing work on climate change and geospatial innovations.
  • Engage in Outreach: Develop educational content on your research’s contribution to UN SDGs.
  • Collaborate: Work on interdisciplinary projects within the Hub to create innovative climate solutions.

For Students

  • Conduct UNU Hub-Focused Projects: Work on sustainability and policy-related projects under Hub-affiliated professors.
