R-SIRUS and CREST at the Water Policy Roundtable hosted by United Nations Headquarters in New York

R-SIRUS and CREST at the Water Policy Roundtable hosted by
United Nations Headquarters in New York

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), a high-level Water Policy Roundtable was convened at United Nations Headquarters in New York to launch the flagship report on Global Water Bankruptcy: Living Beyond Our Hydrological Means in the Post-Crisis Era by Dr. Kaveh Madani, Director of UNU INWEH and Research Professor at CCNY, CUNY CREST.

The UNU Hub at CCNY, Remote Sensing and Sustainable Innovations for Resilient Urban Systems  (R-SIRUS), represented by Dr Reza Khanbilvardi at the table, participated in this important global dialogue on water security, sustainability, and collective action. It was great to see leaders and experts discuss the urgent policy implications of decades of water overuse worldwide.
