Workshop: Digital Earth and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability
Digital Earth and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability
As climate challenges grow more complex, the need for professionals who can harness remote sensing, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and open-science tools have never been greater. This five-day micro-credential workshop designed to equip researchers, students, and practitioners with the practical skills needed to drive data-informed decisions for a more sustainable and resilient world, was hosted by R-SIRUS in January 2026.
The workshop highlighted the power of building capacity through knowledge, innovation, and community. It was especially rewarding to see students actively engage, learn by doing, and grow their professional networks.
